WHAT'S NEXT?

I hope that everyone had as great of a Christmas as I did. I had to work the weekend, so I slept on Christmas morning till about 10:30.
Mom, Dad, Matthew, Theresa, Katie2 and Chase were all patiently waiting for me to open presents. I wasn't sure they would be able to make it.
Finally I arrived and the free for all began!Chase got the WHEEL OF FORTUNE! The boys got a couple of marshmellow shooters. Theresa got alot of loot.
K2 got a whole box of packing peanuts??
You can tell by the look on Moms face that this gift from Dad was not exactly what she was asking for. Not thrilled about the wireless internet that they have had for a while. We all kindly reminded her that you should always check the inside. Things are not always what they appear to be. That said she opened the box......I guess she was happier with the IPOD in the box. Good job Dad!
Dad was happy with his Drill Doctor, I am sure he will get lots of use out of it. Hope he shares with the rest of us!
Grandma and Grandpa stopped in for some Christmas Cheer.
We all recieved the always popular dish clothes. Yeah!!
I gave Grandma a scarf that I knit myself, when was the last time Grandma got something I made?
Myself? You ask? I got lots of tools, a new cordless drill, some new snowboots, and a picture of Regi, who does my hair, with a gift certificate. Thanks K2!!
All of us kids got "grandma pant", very comfy lounge wear, I wore them all day on Tues.
Mom cooked us a great dinner of Swedish Meatballs and Korve, complete with potatoes, peas and gravy!
Thanks Mom!!!!! I even caught Dad in the kitchen helping out.

I know that I had a GREAT CHRISTMAS. I hope that everyone else did too.
Check out my photo link for more Chistmas pics.

Thursday morning started out with rain, which began to freeze!
Icicles on the trees.
At about 1:30p.m. that all began to change. The snow began to fall, just what we all have been waiting for!
It started kind of slow, but has been picking up speed.
It is big, wet flakes!
I guess we may have hope for a white Christmas after all.
Keep your fingers crossed.

Jingle Bells - Pooh and Friends

Jingle Bells - Pooh and Friends

White Christmas

Merry Christmas everybody!! The Lindgren family spent Saturday afternoon in beautiful downtown St. Paul. Mom and Dad had gotten tickets for us all to see Irving Berlins' White Christmas. What a fun show to get us in the Christmas Spirit!
The singing and dancing was great, and at the end we all got to sing along, as the snow fell in the entire theater.
I was really hoping it would be snowing outside as well, but...
After the show we had some time to enjoy Rice Park. We even saw Santa.Rice Park had lots of lights and a huge Christmas tree. Mom wanted to go ice skating at the rink, we deceided to save that adventure for another day, when we didn't have dinner plans.

We had dinner at the Downtowner Woodfire Grill, it was great. Rootbeer floats for dessert. Yummm!
Its was a fun time with the family. Can't wait for Christmas!!!!, and

SNOW!!!

SNOW!!!! Please??

Why can't we have some snow like this right now??!!

Christmas Cookies

The girls spent Saturday making Christmas cookies! JoAnn(Mom), Robin, Elley, Grace and Myself joined forces to bake the supply of cookies for the Holiday.
We baked all kinds of different cookies. Everyone had there favorites.
Mine are the Russian Teacakes. We did everything from dipping pretzels to making peanut butter reindeer.
There were sugar cookies, chocolate chip, peanutbutter kisses, I even tackled the spritz again this year. I am actually getting to be fairly good at that contraption.
There is a little skill involved, believe it or not.

Grace and I even pulled out an old childhood favortie, mine not hers, the eggs and bacon. Grace really got into it, we modified it from yellow eggs to green eggs, always a winner.
It was a fun way to spend a Saturday, we had fun chit-chatting and getting our hands dirty. Thanks for the fun time girls. Can't wait for next year!
Merry Christmas everyone,
I look forward to eating some cookies with all of you!

Weekend with the Lemke Kids

I survived the whole weekend with Grace, Sam and Max.
I was actually very easy this time around. The first night, the boys and I dropped Grace off at dance, then met Robert and Sue for dinner. Roberts treat.
They are all getting so grown up that they help out a lot, especially Grace. She was always around to run and get something, watch Max, she even made the breakfast in the AM. Waffles for everyone!!Friday night Grace and Sam wanted to stay up all night.
I agreed thinking they would crash by 10pm or so, since they got up at 6:15am.
I can't remember when the last time I was awake at that hour without being in the ER. While 10pm came and went, Grace has slowed down quite a bit, Sam on the other hand was still going strong. At 11pm off to bed we all went. I had the crazy thought that we would get to sleep in Sat morning.
Sam had other plans. 7:30 wake up call.
Saturday afternoon Grace needed to go to dance again. So the boys and I headed to the Brookdale Mall play area to blow off some energy.
They had alot of fun.
We all went to bed early on Sat, as we had plans for a field trip on Sunday. We picked up K2, her nephew Beck, and our cousin Megan and headed to the Childrens Museum. We had a blast there. Lots for the kids to do, everyone was tired at the end of the day.
So thats the story of the weekend. Had a great time, can't wait to do it again.!

Well, Christmas is right around the corner again, now if we could just get a little snow!!!
Not too much happening this week, I have been off work since Thanksgiving,
resting up for the coming weekend.
I will become the proud parent of three children for four days!
Wish me luck!
I am sure it will be a blast, as usual. The Lemke's love me,
we have alot of fun together. On saturday, Megan and I plan on getting them out of the house and going to the Childrens Museum for the day.
Watch for next weeks update, I am sure there will be some
adventures to tell you all about.

Home again....

So I arrived home yesterday to find my pool had yet another victim. Before I left town I had scooped three more squirrels out. This is what I found ...I can't even feel bad for them anymore...I am up to 25 victims.
Meanwhile in the front yard....A couple of survivors are having a grand old time in the Maple tree.
Wait, what's this....Do we have a jumper????

I said I wanted some pics of snow....

Well I said I wanted some snow to take pictures of...I went to Elbow Lake to get them!
How cold does this picture look? Don't worry we will have this here before we know it.
I spent a long weekend at the cabin with both of my brothers, and Theresa. They had been there for a week already, deer hunting. Dad had been there too, but passed me on the road near Willow River on his way home Thursday.
I got to Cook and went around town in search of Grandma and Grandpa. They were out running wild. Found them on their way home, and had a little visit. Then headed for the lake.
I had brought spaghetti for the gang but they all rioted against that (something about already eating it for 3 days), so I took them for burgers at the Landing. We had fun just hanging out and watching movies.

Friday they all slept in instead of going out to look for BOB (the buck). We all went out Friday afternoon though. No BOB, but if I had a gun we could of had some grouse. Back at the cabin, Theresa started a fire in the sauna, and then we headed to the Landing for Walleye. MMMM, good!!! We all then had showers in the hot! Sauna,
no one jumped in the lake though, and called it a night.
I tried to go to town on Sat to check on G & G, had a slight problem getting out of the driveway, Matthew and Theresa helped. Got to town finally, Grandpa was sick with a bad cold and cough. I went to the drug store and liquor store for some "medicine" for him. Then Grandma and I stopped at the craft show across the street at the church, didn't buy anything, but Gram could make some cash with her washrags.
Back at the cabin, Chase climbed a tree, the dock got hauled in and the roof off the screen porch, and they let me make spaghetti.
Sunday morning we all packed up and called it a week. Chase loaded Frank

and the deer in the back of the truck, Matthew and Theresa headed for home via Duluth. And Brutus and I had to be the first ones up the road.
