Elbow Lake

The Lindgren clan returned to Elbow Lake this last weekend.
We all drove up on Thursday, and decided to spent the weekend out on the island.
Of course we had to be sure the Flag was flying, even in the 40 mph wind.
p.s. it was not warm!!!
Grandpa and Paula joined us at the lake Fri. evening, after the coffee and celebration of Grandma at church. Debbie, Krista and Diana had to head back. I think Grandpa enjoyed that very much. It was nice he could get hugs from all his friends. There were many people there to attest to how much Grandma meant to everyone.
Back on the Island, Grandpa finally figured out he was at elbow lake at about 5am. He just fell into his old routine. Coffee, sit by the fire and nap! I lit the fire for him, we thought it may snow.
Back on the Island, Chase made swedish pancakes for us on Sat. morn. YUM!!!!
Some of his pancake rules are the same as Grandmas, some he makes up as he goes.
Reid and Grandpa enjoying their share.
The boys, and Theresa also replaced the pump and patched some leaks while we were there.

We took a couple of boat rides, although not super enjoyable due to weather. No wonder Grandpa thought it was April.
We all walked up the Hill Saturday evening to plant the tree Matthew had given Grandma while she was in the hospital. I haven't seen Gramps move that fast in a long time. He was up the hill so fast. With Grandpas supervision, we pick a nice spot across the trail from the Big White Pine where Grandmas ashes will be. There is a nice big rock to sit on right there as well.
Even the littlest Lindgren boy got in on the digging.
All the Lindgren Boys.
Grandma would love her tree!!!
One of the two group photos. Dad and Paula switched out. Paula has the other on her camera. It made Grandpas day to have us all up the hill with him.
"Oh what a wonderful, marvelous day!
A day I will never forget."

Thanks Katie for the pictures and saying what is in all our hearts. We loved her lots. It was fun to be together at Elbow Lake again and look at pictures with you guys. Even if Matthew beat Chase and I at cribbage. Cannot believe it.

Love, Mom
